Six Weeks Old!

Ben is officially 6 weeks old which makes me six weeks post partum! Well I thought that I would be clear to go back to my old self by this point but I haven't officially finished healing. Due to my little infection and the antibiotics I took, I'm now eagerly waiting to be cleared by my doc. I see my OB next week and I am ready to hear what his recommendation is! 

My little tyke is now following a pretty good sleep pattern at night. He seems to be sleeping by 11pm and only wakes to nurse. It's a blessing to have baby number three be so good! Hopefully he keeps it up.

Our cloth diaper journey is going very well too! I have learned that some diapers fit better than others and that I should always follow my gut! Haha. I spent a lot of time reading blog after blog about cloth diapering. A LOT of people recommended trying different diapers until you find your fave and then building your stash with your faves... I originally wanted to buy a full stash of BumGenius and I didn't. Well I should have! BG has not let me down to date. They fit very well, they haven't leaked, and they are easy to stuff compared to my other pocket diapers. So I suppose that any future purchases will go to BG unless I find something that convinces me otherwise. 

I have also been using diaper covers and prefolds and they do a wonderful job too! Best Bottom covers and OsoCozy prefold diapers are my go-to over night combination. I have a heavy wetter and this combo has not let me down. 

For now, I am still exploring the cloth world but I am already in love with it! I recommend that of you are thinking of trying it, you really should! Our diapers are just about paid for if you consider the number of disposables I would have used by now... It's wonderful to be one laundry load away from a new set of clean diapers vs. having to drive to the local dept store for a new pack.
