You will need:
1 Cup Lime Juice (about 20-30 Key Limes will do it)
1 Cup Sugar (I used my Fair Trade Turbinado Sugar)
1 Cup Water (to be used with the sugar to make syrup)
3-4 Cups ice cold water (to dilute your mixture)
1. Make a simple syrup on the stove top. Dissolve your sugar and 1 cup of water by heating them in a sauce pan.
2.Blend your simple syrup, and lime juice in a pitcher and start diluting with your ice cold water. Add one cup at a time until you reach the taste that suits you best! I added about 3 cups and thought my limeade was sweet and tangy.
Now keep in mind... If you choose to use a manual juicer like I did (see photo above,) be careful! Somehow I managed to slip when I was juicing and I hurt my thumb in the process! Who does that?!?!?! Hahaha. My thumb is now feeling slightly better but now I can see the damage and it looks like I detached my nail from my skin!
Ouch! I think next time I'll be more careful. You can say I'm domestically challenged. ;)
