PB & J, yogurt, water, grapes, carrots with peas, and a clementine:
Ham & cheese sandwich, yogurt, water, clementine, blueberries, and grapes.
PB & J: donuts: carrots: clementine: plum slices: nuts: and some grapes!
PB & J: Oreos: grapes: cucumbers & ranch dressing: almonds.
Again, super picky eaters over here... I get sick of making peanut butter sandwiches but they seem to think this sandwich is better than other stuff I offer... Go figure.
Possible twists on the "main course" can include the following:
- Make your own pizza kit: pitas/ sauce/ shredded cheese
- Ham and cheese sandwich
- Left overs!
- Cut up cold cuts for a "lunchable" style
- Chicken Nuggets
- Taco trimmings with Tortilla chips
- Hummus sandwich with Avocado
Have fun getting creative! I think I'm going to experiment some more with these picky kids and see if they will accept some more variety here and there. ;)

I have a super picky eater too! School lunch is such a struggle for us. These are great ideas. Out of curiosity what do you do with the left over bread, cheese, and meat when you cut it out?? I have seen this a lot but haven't thought of a brilliant way to use it yet:)
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! That's an excellent question! Cheese and ham scraps can be sliced up or chopped up into small pieces and added to pasta salads or garden salads. Bread can be chopped up and made into homemade croutons or you can save up those bread scraps and freeze them until you have enough to put together a bread pudding ;)
