Diaper laundry was just integrated into our routine and I don't really find it more tedious than any other pile of clothes. Hand washing flats this week has really opened my eyes to a new world of no diaper pail.
I made a comment to my husband last night about finding this daily diaper laundry rather refreshing. I have a trash can with a lid in Ben's nursery and this is where all the dirty diapers go until they are ready to be washed (every other day or so.) Despite having this wonderful container with a lid, there's always a little funk coming from "that" corner of the nursery if its getting close to laundry day... This week, there has been no funk! I think that's what I am enjoying most about this challenge! No dirty diaper smell anywhere when you wash as you go!
Now, here's what's not working for me... Hand washing every diaper as they become soiled. Haha! "Ain't nobody got time for dat!" I guess I could do them all at once in the evening... Or the morning... Or at nap time... But eh, I figure it will collectively take just as long no matter when I choose to wash.
Over all, I think the good outweighs the bad... I guess on a super busy day, the washing would simply have to wait. For now, I'm glad this challenge is a week long ;) I swear my washer has been asking for diapers lately haha!
