Star Wars Baby Shower

This weekend was filled with many activities! My sister finally arrived from L.A. which was great because I finally met my adorable nephew!

Derek had his 1st Communion Ceremony.

I had my Star Wars Baby Shower!

We had a great time! My siblings did an outstanding job decorating and putting together games for everyone to play. We had light saber battles, baby bottle chugging while the Cantina song played, a Vader pinata, and some Star Wars trivia games. Everyone seemed to have a great time! I know I did. Ty helped open up all the presents and by the end of the night we had just enough energy to go out for a Super Moon walk. The moon didn't look very different to us and it might have been due to our South Texas location, but it was full and bright for our evening walk.

The boys had fun chasing each other and I had that nice breezy evening air to clear my mind after all of the day's chaos.

We are one week away from our due date. I was hoping the super moon would encourage our little bundle to make his grand entrance into the world. It didn't happen haha. He's still comfy in his bubble and I'm still carrying him around everywhere. I'm ok with that. I think with my first two son's I got carried away with wanting everything to happen when I wanted it to happen and I didn't simply sit back and enjoy the ride. I want to make sure I don't this now... maybe being a little older and wiser contributes to the new way of thinking, or maybe I've just gotten cheesier with time and I'm more sappy about moments like these. I want to keep feeling the baby kicking away in my belly... I am looking forward to the first look at my baby but I'm also having fun making up images and taking wild guesses as to who's eyes this little man will have, and who's hair, or who's smile. I'm enjoying the big belly and the way Derek and Ty wrap their arms around it as they talk to their baby brother. I'm sure the moments will be even sweeter when we can finally hold him and look into his eyes, but for now, I'm enjoying the present and the blessing hidden away in my tummy.
